Making a green juice in the morning (or any time ) is the best gift you can give yourself. This juice is sweet and full of fantastic ingredients that will help your body get rid of toxins, it will purify your blood, hydrate your body and give you lots of vitamins and minerals.
What are the benefits of juicing?
Juicing can be enormously beneficial for health and it’s a great way to add nutrients from fruits and vegetables. Many of us don’t eat enough greens and juicing is an easy way to increase your fruit and veggie intake. Also fresh juices go directly into your bloodstream making it is easier to absorb all the nutrients from the vegetables and you’re giving your body a chance to rest by introducing only liquids.
If you normally don’t enjoy eating fresh fruits and vegetables, juicing may be a fun way to add them to your diet and you can juice a wide variety of vegetables that you may not enjoy eating whole.
I´m not a big fan of kale so I was very happy when I discovered that kale actually tastes really good when juicing it.
Drinking a green juice with coconut water is like getting a blood transfusion
Coconut water is almost identical to human blood plasma and it was actually used for emergency transfusions during WWII. When you combine coconut water with chlorophyll it is said to be an instant blood transfusion!
What plants contain chlorophyll?
Kale, spinach, parsley, spirulina, wheatgrass, barley, spirulina, broccoli, chlorella, green beans, arugula and leeks.

Coconut water and antiaging
One really interesting components of coconut water are the plant growth hormones – cytokinins. Cytokinins are also known as anti-aging hormones. Depending on the amount of cytokinins in a plant, the aging process in plants can be either accelerated or retarded. Plants with less cytokinins age faster than normal and if we add cytokinins to a plant, normal aging is retarded.
The anti-aging effects of Cytokinins work the same way in human skin. When the diet includes these plant nutrients, the body as a whole can fight aging, starting at the cellular level. You can also use coconut water on your skin to prevent wrinkles and age spots.
Low speed juicer
I am using a low-speed juicer ( to preserve the enzymes). A low speed juicer operates at a lower speed than most of the other juicers, enhancing both the quality and quantity of the juice. It produces more juice from the same amount of fruits and vegetables compared to other juicers.
Because it operates at lower speed than other types of juicers it produces less heat and as a result the nutrients in the juice are preserved.
I am using a low speed juicer from Omega. I love it. It is quiet, it has a nice design and it is easy to clean up. I would recommend it to anyone that wants to start juicing.

Recipe, (US measurements)
1 cup kale, baby spinach or other leafy greens (You might want to use less if this is your first green juice)
1 cup pineapple (you can also use mango or combine both)
1/2 cup coconut water
Put all the kale and pineapple in your (slow) juicer.
Add the coconut water to your green juice.
