Discomfort is sometimes the only thing that will make us take action

Life isn’t always easy

Sometimes life is tough on us and it might be hard to understand why we face the obstacles we do. Have you ever had so much shit to deal with that you at one point felt “I’ve had enough! I’m not going to put up with this any more”? Tough times are difficult to go through, but they give you the opportunity to grow stronger and make a change. Unless you change you will be stuck in the same situation forever.

Being in an uncomfortable situation can be easy to get used to even if you don’t like it and long for a change

You are too comfortable to make the effort needed to do what it really takes. You might make a few halfhearted attempts to make the change needed, but it feels difficult and staying where you are, even if it’s not pleasant at all, feels more secure than the alternative.

Discomfort is sometimes the only thing that will make us take action

How much discomfort it will take to make you move is up to you. The longer you will stay in a situation that is not good for you, the more pain you will experience. Then one day, you’ve just had it and you say to yourself – never again! No more!

This mental shift will change how you think and feel. Something has shifted inside you and you get a whole new energy. You can feel it. It’s a decision. It’s a commitment. You are going to make that change. You are going to make it happen. You will (finally) do whatever it takes to create a better situation.

Think of difficult times as learning experiences.

Things that will make you grow. Things that will make you take steps towards a better life. Nothing ever stays the same forever. Everything is forever changing and something that feels difficult now will pass. How you perceive the situation will decide how you feel about it. If you see it as something bad that has happened to you, it will be very painful and you will feel dis-empowered. If you look at the situation as something that is here to move you forward towards something better, it will feel less painful and you will be more empowered.
